Kent, Pam, and a few select friends, explore and expose the wildlife that they come into contact with; hopefully, helping other like minded folks enjoy the environment around them.
Who We Are
Pam and Kent live in Middle Tennessee and enjoy watching the birds and wildlife around them.
This is a ceramic bird feeder that has been in my yard for 5 years. This is the first time any bird has attempted a nest. I think it is a house Wren who has been building fast and furious. I have never seen one like this before.
Yes, it is a bird feeder. I usually keep seed in it and the chickadees go in and get their seed. It had a branch screwed into it as a perch but, the squirrels have chewed it away.
same thing happened with a birdfeeder at my mom's house -- her caregivers and I were so entertained by the little bird who was determined to get long twigs through a very narrow slot (and succeeded!)
Is this in actuality a Bird Feeder? Is this why you can see the nesting material?
ReplyDeleteI guess this is what happens when we don't keep our feeders filled! Interesting. Marcia
